Best Paper Award
The ASME - IGTI Industrial and Cogeneration committee presented a “Best Paper” award and a plaque to the authors of this paper GT2007-28227. The award was presented at the ASME Gas Turbine Technical Congress, Exposition; ASME TURBO-EXPO 2008: Power for Land, Sea and Air, 9-13 June 2008 in Berlin, Germany. This paper was presented in the 2007 ASME Turbo-Expo conference held in Montreal Canada and was deemed to be of high quality and of value to end users covering an important ongoing issue with large F-Class turbines.

This paper was selected by the "IGTI - International Gas Turbine Institute, The American Society of Mechanical Engineers" as recipient for the "1998 John P. Davis Award".
The award was presented at the 45th ASME Gas Turbine and Aeroengine Technical Congress, Exposition and Users Symposium; ASME TURBO EXPO 2000 Land, Sea and Air, 8-11 May 2000 in Münich, Germany.
The award recognizes gas turbine application papers which are judged to be of exceptional value to those supplying or using gas turbines and their support systems. This paper was judged by the IGTI/ASME award committee as an excellent contribution to the literature of gas turbine engine technology.
